Behind the Image:
Iapetus had a horrible past...his father murdered his mother and his two sisters and left him to fend for himself as a young colt. He believes that the long-tailed crow in which he is always chases is in fact his father Orion. The crow is always there....haunting him, reminding him of his cruel past, mocking him in a way.
Iapetus also represents a storm to most - maybe because of his coat color? That reason, and also for the storm is very much like himself. It is intimidating, and not daunted at all by anything in the world around it. Furthermore, it is the bitter, with lightning lashing out that could kill just about anything in it's wake, and cruel in that it cares not for other creatures - does not care for their lives, if they died.
